Jimmy Kimmel threatened to take Aaron Rodgers to court after the Jets quarterback suggested the late night host was on Jeffrey Epstein’s list of associates.
A federal judge is expected to unseal “the list” connected to serial sex offender Epstein, who hanged himself in a New York jail in 2019. Notables such as Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton are believed to have flown on Epstein’s private jet to visit his island in the Virgin Islands where he abused underaged girls along with girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. She’s serving a 20-year sentence for her sex crimes.
“There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are really hoping that doesn’t come out,” Rodgers said on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show.
In the clip, McAfee explained what began the feud:
Obviously, a clip from this particular program was run on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, whenever Aaron brought up the list, and Jimmy mocked him for it. Aaron has not forgotten about that. But, here we are, sitting right in front of that nice bottle of Scotch. What did he say? I’m waiting to celebrate something. He’s been waiting for this!
“I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle,” Rodgers said.
Kimmel took to social media to respond:
Dear Aasshole: [sic] for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or
had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court. @AaronRodgers12
