‘What the F**k Are They Doing?!’ Kash Patel Finds Out in Middle of Rogan Interview That Musk Just Accused Trump of Being in Epstein Files
FBI Director Kash Patel discovered Elon Musk was accusing President Donald Trump of being in the “Epstein files” in the middle of an interview with Joe Rogan.
Patel joined Rogan for The Joe Rogan Experience this week for an episode that was released on Friday but recorded on Thursday at the same time that Trump and Musk’s relationship was blowing up.
At a Thursday White House meeting, Trump said he was “disappointed” in Musk’s criticism of his “Big Beautiful Bill.” Things quickly escalated into a war of words and threats between the two as Musk suggested he’d throw his billions behind a third party and Trump threatened to cancel Musk’s government contracts. Musk took things to another level when he accused Trump of hiding the “Epstein files” because his name is in them.
Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted sexual predator facing trafficking charges at the time of his death in 2019. The billionaire hobnobbed with the rich and famous and the “Epstein files” refer to those on a flight log to a private island where Epstein was accused of assaulting numerous women, some of them underage.
During a discussion about Epstein on Rogan’s podcast, Patel assured a sometimes skeptical Rogan that everything he’s seen supports the theory that Epstein committed suicide. Rogan eventually turned to whether footage from Epstein’s actual island exists and would be released when his producer informed him that Musk had dropped a bomb on Trump that was fairly relevant to the conversation at hand.
Rogan then read Musk’s post to X, accusing Trump of being in the “Epstein files.”
“Jesus Christ,” a shocked Rogan said in reaction.
“I’m not participating in any of that conversation between Elon and Trump,” Patel said.
“Have a nice day? Someone should take his phone away,” Rogan added.
Rogan called Musk’s accusation a “crazy thing to say.”
“How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump’s in the Epstein files? Does he have access to the Epstein files?” Rogan asked Patel.
“I don’t know how he would,” Patel answer, “but I’m just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing. That’s way outside my lane.”
“What the fuck are they doing?” a still-shocked Rogan said.
“I know my line and that ain’t it,” Patel continued.
Rogan then suggested Musk’s attachment to X may not be the healthiest thing for him.
“I understand he owns Twitter, I think it’s bad for your mental health,” he said. “I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you.”
