San Francisco 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward took his frustration out on Twitter after his team’s heartbreaking Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Late Sunday night, the Chiefs won their third Super Bowl in five seasons when quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw a game-winning touchdown in overtime. The Niners led 10-0 in the first half.

Losing the most important game of your life on the very last play would obviously be a tough pill to swallow. As a result, Ward couldn’t help but get on Twitter and lash out at anyone speaking ill of him and his team.

His first target was New York Jets star CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, who tweeted about the 49ers being “better on paper” but the Chiefs being able to “always find a way.”

The tweet was clearly harmless and Gardner said nothing bad about the 49ers, but Ward still took issue with it.

“Boy [your] ass ain’t never sniffed the playoffs,” Ward responded in a now-deleted tweet.

“You watching from the couch. Worry bout the sorry ass JETS. Everybody got something to say about the team in the Super Bowl. Your opinion doesn’t need to be heard kid.”

Minutes later, Ward responded to a Chiefs fan mocking him. According to the fan, Ward previously said “everything is better” in San Francisco. They were wondering if Ward still thought that after the loss.

“Hell yeah I do,” Ward said. “You tweeting as a fan acting like you accomplished something. You ain’t accomplish a damn thing. The Chiefs won not you.”

Like the first tweet, that one was also deleted.
