Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson linked the guilty verdict returned in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial to immigration while characterizing his conviction as “the end” of the American justice system on Thursday.
“Import the Third World, become the Third World. That’s what we just saw,” began Carlson in a post on X. “This won’t stop Trump. He’ll win the election if he’s not killed first. But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world.”
“Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family,” he added.

Trump was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records late Thursday afternoon. Some critics have argued that the case against Trump was thin, reliant upon the testimony of convicted felon Michael Cohen, and was brought, principally, for political reasons.
But Carlson, who has previously speculated that Trump might be assassinated, was joined by a chorus of more hysterical voices in the immediate aftermath of the announcement of the jury’s decision.
Donald Trump Jr., for example, concurred with Carlson’s argument that the United States had devolved into a “third world shithole” and argued that election day in November would constitute “our last chance to save” the country, while Federalist CEO Sean Davis called on Republicans to begin compiling lists of Democrats to “put in prison.”
“If you are a state AG/prosecutor with original criminal jurisdiction, you had better be drafting up charges, indictments, and warrants for every Democrat official involved in this insane, treasonous attack on our entire constitutional republic,” wrote Davis on X.
