Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers express his disappointment with a fan’s alleged anti-Muslim comment during a moment of silence held before Sunday’s NFL game against the Detroit Lions.
According to USA Today, an unidentified fan used the opportunity to exclaim a slur against Muslims at Wisconsin’s Lambeau Field. Sportsgrid reports that the insensitive fan’s comments are difficult to decipher in the official NFL video, but many sporting and news outlets are suggesting that it was directed towards Islam.
Rodgers told reporters at the post-game that he wasn’t impressed with the fan’s comments.

“I must admit, I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was that made a comment that was very inappropriate during the moment of silence,” he said. “It’s that kind of prejudicial ideology that puts us in the position we are today as a world.”
When asked, Rodgers chose not to repeat the fan’s comment.
