Most regular viewers of nightly newscasts have some correspondents they favor over others. While we all have our favorites, which correspondents have actually gotten the most air time? In 2012 ABC’s David Muir topped the list for the second consecutive year.
The Tyndall Report — which monitors the weekday nightly newscasts on the ABC, NBC, and CBS — released their list for the most-used correspondents of 2012. Muir comes in first with 426 minutes of air time, followed by NBC’s Andrea Mitchell (269 minutes), NBC’s Chuck Todd (259 minutes), ABC’s Jim Avila (243 minutes), and ABC’s Jake Tapper (234 minutes).
Muir also topped in the list in 2011, beating Tapper who had held the spot previously.
