A New Jersey man was ticketed this week over the two Donald Trump flags he’s been flying on his property for a few weeks.
As Joe Hornick proudly explained to WNBC, “I’m not a football fan, I’m not a sports fan, but I’m surely a Donald Trump fan.”
At issue here is local law that it’s illegal to post political signage over 30 days before an election, and the New Jersey primary isn’t until June. Hornick’s argument is that it’s not really a sign, it’s just fan flags.
He said that people have come to tear down his flags, and he’s responded by putting new ones up.
If he loses his court fight, Hornick made it clear he’s still not going to take the flags down, even with the thought of jail time. “If I have to do 90 days in jail,” he said, “I’m doing 90 days in jail.”
