Anthony Weiner Opening ‘Locally-Sourced’ Restaurant Like a Cool Guy
Anthony Weiner has a lot of free time and not a lot of women he can send dick pics to, so he’s doing the next best thing: opening a restaurant.
The New York Post reports that Weiner was spotted scouting a location for the Rockaways Restoration Kitchen, describing the future fare as “locally sourced food that satisfies the hunger of Rockaway residents.”
But it’s not just a restaurant — it’s a “social entrepreneurship that operates a healthy, sustainable restaurant in a hard luck community to provide training, on-the-job apprenticeship and placement in the culinary and food service sector for unemployed New Yorkers.”
But let us not take our eyes off the fact that Anthony Weiner is becoming a restaurateur. Yes, it’s a good thing to put a restaurant in the Rockaways, a neighborhood devastated by Hurricane Sandy and still struggling to recover, and at the very least, Weiner is taking his considerable profile to shed light on a neighborhood in economic danger.
