Every morning, the first of my cell phone’s three scheduled alarms goes off to wake me up. Each is set for the highest volume, and with the most annoying sound, because I need to get out of bed. I’ve often remarked to myself that it sounds like a bulldozer crashing into my bedroom.
Unfortunately for a 56-year-old woman and her two daughters in Teralba, Australia, this was literally the case on Monday morning.
According to NBC News, local police arrived on the scene to find four vehicles and and an entire house in shambles after a 48-year-old man destroyed them all with a stolen bulldozer. The angry individual, whose identity has not been released by the authorities, commandeered the rather hefty construction equipment from a nearby plant.
No one was hurt in the incident, and the police were able to subdue the individual with the use of pepper spray and dogs. The man’s reason for stealing the bulldozer and destroying the cars and the house has yet to be determined.
I will, however, no longer be referring to my morning routine as “being bulldozed.”
