Bad Football Fan Behavior: Kentucky and South Carolina Fans Throw Down in Wild Tailgate Brawl

Last Monday, we began a weekly feature called This Week in “Bad NFL Crowd Behavior” — which, in its bow, chronicled a pair of scuffles at the Washington Redskins-Philadelphia Eagles game.

Upon reflection, we’ve decided to amend the title to This Week in “Bad Football Fan Behavior,” so as not to exclude fans of college teams from getting in on the action. After all, excessive drinking and fighting is just as much of a problem in college football as it is in the pros — in our opinion. This week, the backers of two SEC schools gave us ample evidence to support that view.

In a video posted by 5th Year (via SEC Country), fans representing the University of Kentucky and the University of South Carolina can be seen throwing down during the pre-game tailgate.

The wild scuffle involved dozens of people and looked to include many punches thrown.

Can’t we get through one football weekend without something like this happening somewhere in the country? We suspect the answer will be no.
