BB King’s Autopsy Came Back Negative; Poison Had No Part in Natural Death
Not long after blues legend BB King passed away from Alzheimer’s and natural causes, Patty King and Karen Williams were determined to prove that their father was poisoned by his manager. King’s autopsy was released on Monday night, and there were no signs of foul play.
Authorities opened up a homicide investigation after the daughters insisted that manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson did not take proper care of their father. “I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances,” the daughters previously stated.
Tests were conducted by the Clark County Coroner’s office, and John Fudenberg reported that King’s death was a result of complications that occurred in tandem with his Alzheimer’s.
“At this point, we can say with confidence that Mr. King died of natural causes,” Fudenberg said. “Our condolences go out to the family and many friends of Mr. King, and we hope this determination brings them some measure of closure.”
