Beck Worries Carson May Be GOP’s Jimmy Carter: ‘Doesn’t Have Facts Down Strongly Enough’

Glenn Beck expressed some concern today that Ben Carson is the Republicans’ Jimmy Carter (and yes, he meant it as a bad thing).

Beck repeatedly emphasized that he really likes Carson and would be fine with him as the nominee, but at the same time he still asked, “Is it possible we are making the same mistake that the Democrats made with Jimmy Carter?”

He recalled how people were so disgusted by Richard Nixon and corrupt Republicans than they voted for Carter because he was a nice, humble, hard-working man who wouldn’t “screw us.”

Which brought Beck to Carson. He wondered if conservatives are “looking past too many things” because he’s s nice guy.

He again clarified he likes Carson, but still said, “I’m concerned that he doesn’t have the facts down strongly enough.”
