Ben Carson: Race Relations Were Better Before Obama Took Office

Dr. Ben Carson said on Hugh Hewitt‘s radio show today that he believes race relations in the U.S. have gotten much worse under President Obama. Hewitt asked him if things are “going to get worse” before they get better when it comes to race in the United States.

And Carson said, “I actually believe that things were better before this president was elected. And I think that things have gotten worse because of his unusual emphasis on race.”

He cited cases like Henry Louis Gates and Trayvon Martin to argue that Obama and his progressive allies “manipulate… minority communities to make them feel that they are victims.”
