Bernie Goldberg: ‘I Care About Climate Change as Much as the Next Guy’ as Long as It’s Not Al Gore
In the wake of President Donald Trump’s decision to pull America out of the Paris Climate Agreement, a number of talking heads voiced their displeasure over the exit. This morning on Fox News, pundit Bernie Goldberg was brought on to weigh in on the reaction from the pundit class.
Before going off on the “completely predictable” response to Trump’s announcement, Goldberg wanted it to be known that he was indeed concerned about the issue of climate change. But not as much as one particular person.
“Full disclosure right off the bat — full disclosure,” Goldberg told anchor Bill Hemmer. “I care about climate change as much as the next guy as long as the next guy isn’t Al Gore. I want to get that straight, okay?”
Goldberg then went on to make the case that the issue of climate change is essentially a religion for “liberal elites” and that they’ll get angry when it is challenged.
“If the green elites are in a tizzy over this, it’s no surprise that the media elites will be in a tizzy over this,” he noted.
The Fox News contributor went on to opine about the accuracy of climate predictions, stating that since the app on his phone can’t tell him what the weather will be like in three days one wonders how scientists predict what’s going to happen 100 years from now.
