Bernie Sanders Meets Doc Brown and Impersonates Larry David On Jimmy Kimmel Live
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel mocked Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his last-minute cancellation, but he gave Trump’s Democratic rival Bernie Sanders plenty of breathing room on Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Probably because, you know, Sanders actually showed up as promised.
Most of the interview was political in nature, especially when Kimmel quizzed Sanders about whether or not the Vermont senator is electable, marijuana and free college tuition for all. Yet it was what Sanders did behind the scenes, and how he closed out the segment, that truly made the appearance worth while.
Like when Sanders’ Twitter account posted a photo of the presidential hopeful with none other than actor Christopher Lloyd, who resurrected his Back to the Future character Doc Brown for a gag with Michael J. Fox.
Tell me, future boy, who’s President of the United States in 2017? “Bernie Sanders.” Bernie Sanders?! From Vermont? pic.twitter.com/saXRY3aguV

However, the highlight of the evening came at the very end, when Kimmel asked Sanders what he thought of Larry David‘s impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live. The senator’s opinion? “Well, I thought it was pretty, pretty, pretty good!”
If you don’t get the reference, that means that (a) you’ve never watched Curb Your Enthusiasm and (b) you’re dead to me now.
