Biden’s Son Discharged from Navy After Testing Positive for Cocaine, According to Report
Hunter Biden, one of Vice President Joe Biden‘s sons, was discharged from the Navy after testing positive for cocaine, according to a new report tonight from The Wall Street Journal.
Biden had served briefly as an ensign in the Navy Reserve. He was commissioned in May 2013, given the drug test a month later, and was officially discharged this past February.
The Journal did not learn, however, which kind of discharge––honorable or general––Biden received. And the Navy does not make that information public for the level of service that Biden was at.
Biden put out a statement reading, “[It was] the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward.”
