Kicking off the third night of the DNC in Philadelphia Wednesday night, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio was unsparing in his criticism of Gotham’s native son currently leading the Republican party
Donald Trump represented the “very definition of the predator class,” de Blasio said. The mogul “made a career out of ripping people off,” who habitually stiffed his contractors, ran up billions in debt, and bankrupted his companies.
de Blasio repeatedly contrasted Hillary Clinton‘s life of public service with Trump’s status as “one of the least generous billionaires our country has ever seen,” a tycoon whose record is speckled with bankruptcies, accusations of fraud, and myriad lawsuits.
The mayor referred to Trump as the “great pretender” who was “born rich,” and said that he “degraded women to make himself feel big while showing us the truly little man that he is.”
