Bill O’Reilly Calls on Trump to Reverse Policy Separating Migrant Families: ‘Innocent Children Are Actually Suffering’

The longtime cable news king Bill O’Reilly bucked the Trump administration on their policy of breaking apart undocumented migrant families on Monday, with the former Fox News host saying the president “will not win on this one.”

O’Reilly, who left Fox News after it was reported the network paid millions to settle sexual misconduct allegations, is typically aligned with President Donald Trump on policy, but sided with former First Lady Laura Bush in opposing the separation of migrant kids from their parents at the border.

“The government should know how bad this looks and how innocent children are actually suffering,” tweeted O’Reilly today. “The Trump administration will not win on this one and it should reverse course today.”

The government should know how bad this looks and how innocent children are actually suffering. That kind of scenario is unacceptable to most Americans as exemplified by former First Lady Laura Bush’s withering criticism. https://t.co/F4PKL00xLS

O’Reilly’s departure from administration talking points is notable, as many in right-wing media and the president’s communications team have repeatedly tried to falsely blame Democrats for the policy, since the left side of the aisle supposedly won’t work with Republicans to find a solution to the problem created by Trump.
