Bill O’Reilly: Is the Press Really ‘Free’ If It’s So Overtly Liberal?

Tonight Bill O’Reilly questioned whether the American press is truly “free” in response to the outcry over President Trump‘s “enemy” tweet.

There’s been a lot of talk about the value of a free and fair press, but O’Reilly argued that “when the press aligns itself with a political movement…then it is no longer objective or free because it’s sympathizing with a political point of view.”

He cited things that various newscasters have said about Trump, including CNN’s Jake Tapper recently telling Trump to “stop whining” after his marathon presser, concluding that “if the American press wants to regain respect, it needs to ditch its outwardly liberal bent.”

O’Reilly said that based on what he’s observed in the news business, it’s “at least 10 to 1 liberal over conservative.”
