Bob Corker: Nominating Roy Moore ‘Was a Bridge Too Far’ Even Before Allegations Came Out
Senator Bob Corker (R- Thorn in Trump’s Side) has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Roy Moore.
Other Republican senators endorsed Moore before this week, but following the allegations of sexual misconduct (particularly the claim from a woman who says she was 14 at the time) against Moore, two of those senators have withdrawn their endorsements.
Corker tweeted this morning that Moore being nominated in the first place was too far––given some of his extreme views––even before any of this came out:
Look, I'm sorry, but even before these reports surfaced, Roy Moore's nomination was a bridge too far.
