The very outspoken Boris Johnson, now the UK Foreign Secretary, held a press conference with John Kerry today where he was confronted about his past attacks on President Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Johnson attacked the president over the removal of an Oval Office Churchill bust by saying, “Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan president’s ancestral dislike of the British empire.”
He also said once of Clinton, “She’s got dyed blonde hair and pouty lips, and a steely blue stare, like a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital.”
Johnson insisted those comments have been “misconstrued” and “in their proper context,” people can understand what he really meant.
He also suggested that these are comments that go back 30 years. Both were made within the last decade.
