The annual South by Southwest conference this month will feature two big guests for its 30th year: President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
SXSW announced today that the Obamas are not only the first sitting president and first lady to participate in the conference, but they will be keynote speakers.
A week from Friday, President Obama will speak with Texas Tribune EIC/CEO Evan Smith to discuss civic engagement and how technology can play a role in addressing the biggest issues facing the world today.
And just five days later, on March 16th, First Lady Michelle Obama will be at SXSW Music to talk about improving education opportunities for women and girls around the world.
The events will be live streamed online, so if you can’t go, SXSW will make the events available to watch.
