Muhammad Ali Has Died at Age 74
Boxing legend Muhammad Ali died tonight at age 74.
The man nicknamed “The Greatest of All Time” had been battling Parkinson’s disease, and he had been hospitalized for the past few days due to reported respiratory problems.
His fights with boxers like George Foreman and Joe Frazier are considered among the best boxing matches in history. Ali had also been recognized over the past few decades for his cultural activism, his decision to fight the Vietnam draft, and his Muslim faith.
Ali’s family issued a brief statement tonight on his passing:
