Not long after reporting that military action in Syria could come tonight, NBC is now reporting that it did.
They say that the American military has launched more than 50 missile strikes on al-Shayrat military airfield near Homs, Syria. President Donald Trump is expected to address the nation on the strikes shortly.
This is a breaking post and will be updated as information becomes available.
UPDATE — 9:33 p.m. EST:
CNN is reporting that the amount of tomahawk cruise missiles is between 50 and 60 and they were aimed at an air base in western Syria that belongs to the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

Per reports, the military warned Russia’s military, which has a presence in Syria, ahead of the launch.
