It looks like team Trump is in full scramble-mode trying to book top musical talent to play at the inauguration next month.
An unnamed Hollywood insider told The Wrap that the President-elect’s transition team is seeking big names — “artists like Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars” — to play at the inauguration parties.
Friday on Fox & Friends, senior Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway — when asked if the team was trying to book Timberlake and Mars — confirmed the report with gusto.
“Yes!” Conway said. Then, winking to the camera, she added, “They can call me, by the way. They can call me.”
According to The Wrap, Trump’s aides aren’t having much luck with the A-listers.
“They’re calling managers, agents, everyone in town to see who they can get, and it’s been problematic,” the unnamed source told The Wrap.
“They are willing to pay anything,” the source added.
A Trump spokesman denied the report to The Wrap.
“No one with any official position at, or official relationship with, the Presidential Inaugural Committee, is engaging in the conduct described,” said Boris Epshteyn, a spokesman for the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
