Ben Carson has largely faded from the national conversation, but he’s still on the debate stage, and he’s upset he wasn’t called on much last night.
In an interview with The Hill today, Carson lamented, “This is entertainment. Our country has become sort of more like ancient Rome with the coliseum. Everyone wants to go to the coliseum and they want to see the blood and the gore even though society is deteriorating around them.”
He wished that Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace, and Bret Baier had been “more equitable” and come to him with more questions.
The reason they didn’t, he says, is because “they want to stoke controversy and they know that I probably won’t get into a big fight with someone, so they’d rather go some place they can stir up a fight.”
Carson has, of course, been criticized for not having a firm grasp on foreign policy. Just today he was saying on TV that Trump and media hurt his credibility.
