Cee Lo Green Apologizes for Rape Tweets ‘Attributed to Me’
Artist Cee Lo Green came under fire yesterday for some controversial tweets he reportedly sent out about rape, one of which seemed to question the idea of what consent actually means.
That tweet read, “if someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent.”
These tweets were supposedly related to a court case involving Green allegedly slipping ecstasy into a woman’s drink two years ago. Green pled no contest in court just days ago.
Here’s some of what Green tweeted (before he deleted it):

After tweeting quite a bit about it, Green ended up deleting it all and just left this apology up:
I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe.
