Last night Donald Trump made news by bringing up the word “rape” during a discussion about Bill Clinton. Sean Hannity listed all the allegations against the former president, and Trump said, “And rape.”
And yes, Juanita Broaddrick alleged in 1999 that Bill Clinton had raped her decades earlier, allegations which Clinton denied through his attorney. Trump is clearly ready to go to places other Clinton foes haven’t in the past.
The Clinton campaign issued a statement today saying Trump is just lashing out after a bad few days:

And while Trump’s specific remark wasn’t directly addressed in the interview, CNN’s Chris Cuomo did ask Hillary Clinton this afternoon if she ever feels compelled to stand up for her husband against Trump’s attacks.

The likely Democratic nominee said she has no intention of responding to any of it.
