Clintons Release Statement Bashing ‘Complete Crap’ in Critical Books

In what is almost assuredly not a coincidence, Hillary Clinton‘s book Hard Choices came out around the same time a number of books critical of the Clintons did. There’s Ed Klein‘s Blood Feud, Daniel Halper‘s Clinton, Inc., and Ronald Kessler‘s The First Family Detail (that last one claimed Bill Clinton had another mistress nicknamed the “Energizer”).

Well, it appears the Clintons are getting fed up with all these people trashing them with no basis in fact, and so they put out a joint statement today condemning all of these supposed accounts of the Clinton White House and their family.

The statement, reported by Politico, dismisses the “Hat Trick of despicable actors concocting trashy nonsense for a quick buck, at the expense of anything even remotely resembling the truth.”

But the Clintons also scolded the media for giving any of these authors a platform:

Their behavior should neither be allowed nor enabled, and legitimate media outlets who know with every fiber of their being that this is complete crap should know not to get down in the gutter with them and spread their lies. But if anyone isn’t sure, let’s strap all three to a polygraph machine on live TV and let the needle tell the truth.
