CNN law enforcement analyst Harry Houck shared a link to a Facebook video Monday that argued that instead of banning guns, President Barack Obama should ban “n*ggas.”
Houck shared the link in a tweet first noticed by Media Matters that came with a ringing endorsement: “He knows what he’s talking about!”
That link goes to a Facebook post by Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children, “a community founded by United States Marine Veterans to bring awareness of the lamestream media.” The aptly-named Misguided Children shared a video by black conservative and men’s right activist Tommy Sotomayor.
“Obama shouldn’t try to ban guns, he should ban n*ggas,” argues Sotomayor in the opening of the video. “Did you know that 52% of all murders in the United States were committed by black people? Did you also know that black people only represent 13% of all people in the United States? What does that tell you? What does that say to you?”
Houck previously courted controversy when he agreed with the statement “black people are prone to criminality” during a CNN debate with Marc Lamont Hill.
