As I sarcastically wrote earlier on in this space, “BREAKING: Candidate Who Hates and Ignores the Press Will ‘More Formally’ Take Questions Today.” It’s been 275 days since Clinton last held a press conference opening herself up to questions from the press, and on this Labor Day it would seem as if the candidate is in more of a giving mood.

“Well I think there always is, perhaps, an element of that,” Keilar conceded. “There’s still a separation between the candidate and the press.”
But she noted that as a journalist or reported covering the elusive campaign of Hillary Clinton, “this is welcome… for the last sixteen months or so, [she] has traveled on a separate plane than the press,” a maneuver that Donald Trump takes advantage of as well.
Watch the above exchange from CNN.
