On Friday, CNN reported that Trump campaign advisor Anthony Scaramucci was part of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s ongoing investigation into Russia’s involvement in the presidential election, more specifically his alleged ties to the state-run Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
Upon hearing the report, Scaramucci claimed he “did nothing wrong” and tweeted that CNN “likes hitting friends” of President Trump “who are loyal advocates on his behalf.”

However, late on Friday, CNN retracted the entire story and issued this editor’s note:

It states that the story “did not meet CNN’s editorial’s standards” and they apologized to Scaramucci.
They have disabled the original link to the article and replaced it with the editor’s note.
Scaramucci followed up with this tweet:
