CNN’s Sally Kohn: U.S. Should Fight Ebola in Africa Instead of ‘Destroying the Middle East’

The Obama administration’s fight against the Islamic terrorist network ISIS, which is largely based in Syria and Iraq, has mostly bipartisan support but not from CNN liberal commentator Sally Kohn, who thinks the U.S. is actively “destroying the Middle East.”

Kohn tweeted Thursday that money spent in the battle should instead be directed toward combating the spread of Ebola in Africa.

“Dunno, maybe if we tried helping Africa with even [half] the money and effort we spend destroying the Middle East,” Kohn wrote. She included the hashtags #JustSayin and #Ebola.

This week the first case of Ebola was diagnosed in the U.S. The patient is believed to have contracted the virus while in Liberia.

We reached out to Kohn via email to see if it is her belief that the President Barack Obama is “destroying the Middle East” by authorizing airstrikes against ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

We got an auto-reply that said she’s “traveling.” We hope not to Liberia.
