One student explained, “An idea is to censor a lot of U.S. history so they can’t talk about some of the negatives, or they don’t want to talk about civil disobedience, which is censorship. And censorship’s communism, censorship’s national socialism, censorship is terrible.”
This is merely a proposal, it has not been instituted yet. But the proposal involves the promotion of “citizenship, patriotism, essentials and benefits of the free-market system, respect for authority and respect for individual rights” while not covering or barely glossing over material that would “encourage or condone civil disorder, social strike or disregard of the law.”
