Trump on election hacking: “It’s very hard to say who did the hacking. With that being said, I’ll go along with Russia. Could’ve been China” pic.twitter.com/Yitp5YqdTs

We’ve already covered a little of Donald Trump‘s Face the Nation interview, which aired this morning, but here’s another stand-out clip you need to see.
In conversation with John Dickerson, the president suggested that maybe it wasn’t Russia behind the email hacking that took place during the election season that led up to his presidency. In fact, it “could’ve been China,” he said.
“If you don’t catch a hacker — okay? — in the act, it’s very hard to say who did the hacking,” he explained while talking about John Podesta‘s emails and their release by Wikileaks.
Obviously, there has been a lot of suspicion about what role, if any, Russia played in his election, especially as that possible role relates to hacking. Trump has dismissed those concerns and validated them in the past.
Still, in today’s interview he said he’d “go along” with the idea that it could have been Russia because ultimately, he’d “love to find out what happened.”
