Before he announced his presidential run, Ted Cruz made some comments expressing skepticism about the prevailing wisdom surrounding climate change.
In a conversation with The Texas Tribune‘s Jay Root yesterday, Cruz was asked about whether climate change denial would be a serious turn-off to young voters. Cruz argued that there has been “no significant warming” and over the years, the strategy from “alarmists” has been to shout down skeptics and call for massive government control.
He even went so far as saying, “The global warming alarmists are the equivalent of the flat-earthers.” Cruz also pointed out how Galileo was called a “denier” once upon a time.
