David Axelrod Is Bringing His Popular Podcast to CNN for a Special

David Axelrod, the former Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, is bringing his super popular podcast to CNN on April 1.

Well, CNN is already one of the sponsors of The Axe Files, so the connection was preexisting, but he’s still doing an hour-long special on the cable news network, so let’s talk about that.

Wondering who the guest will be when The Axe Files makes its big television debut? It’s Senator John McCain, aka the guy that Axelrod helped Obama beat out for the presidency in 2008. That won’t be awkward at all, right?

Well, to be honest, it probably won’t be. They won’t be linking up to hash out decade-old history. Instead, they’re going to focus on the here and now. According to CNN, they’ll be chatting about “current issues including national security and America’s role in the world” in addition to McCain’s career.

Tune in Saturday, April 1 at 9:00 p.m. You just know that McCain has a lot to say about current issues in America.
