No week of presidential debate hot takes would be complete without the political wisdom of proud former Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon David Duke, who opined on his radio show that while Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump “lost” some “opportunities” here and there, he “did the job” against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who would no doubt be pleased to hear that Duke told his audience that Trump is “our candidate, folks.”
Duke also trotted out a familiar term for the moderate Republicans that Trump has yet to convince:
He was trying to expand his base, to assure those people who are afraid, so it was really oriented to some of the cucks out there, frankly. That’s what he was trying to do. Some of us might not like some of it, but the point is, he did the job.
…I think there were some opportunities lost, but he’s our candidate, folks. He is the only thing we have for the presidency of the United States of America, and he has said so many things so important to our movement. He has talked about the necessary to protect our borders. He’s talked about the necessity to protect our heritage. He has talked about the necessity to protect our culture.
