Remember that time Robert De Niro said he wanted to punch Donald Trump in the face? You should; it was last month. Anyway, now that Trump is President-elect, there has been somewhat of a turnaround from the man who so frequently disparaged the real estate mogul during election season. Check out what he said to The Hill:
I would only say that we’re all hoping, waiting and hoping, that he will lead the country in a way that’ll benefit everyone and benefit our neighbors around the world … That’s all.
He said it in response to a question about what message he would give Trump if he could. The statement is a pretty optimistic and reasonable stance to take only a few weeks after making a vague yet violent threat toward the GOP nominee.
