Dem Rep.: Congressional Black Caucus PAC Endorsed Hillary Without Input from Members

The biggest news in the Democratic presidential race today is the big pro-Hillary Clinton move by numerous black legislators. The Congressional Black Caucus’ political action committee officially endorsed Clinton today, and that kicked off a whole day of black Democrats swiping at Bernie Sanders.

However, Congressman Keith Ellison, a member of the CBC, took to Twitter earlier today to say that not only did the caucus itself not endorse anyone, but the PAC’s endorsement was decided without getting input from any members:

Ellison is one of only a few major politicians to publicly endorse Sanders amid much debate within the Democratic party about whether Clinton or Sanders would be better for minority issues.

A former head of the NAACP endorsed Sanders this week and last night said it was “offensive” for Team Clinton to think they can take the black vote for granted.
