Democratic Rep on Trump: ‘I Have Not Called for the Impeachment Yet. He’s Doing it Himself’

On Friday, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) that it was her “greatest desire” to see President Donald Trump impeached, further stating that she hoped “he’s not there for four years.”

During a press conference this morning that was also attended by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Waters expanded on her comments, now claiming that she’s not yet pushing for POTUS to be impeached but saying that Trump is leading himself down that path.

“I have not called for the impeachment yet,” Waters told reporters. “He’s doing it himself.”

She continued, “Let me just say that the statement I made was a statement in response to questions and pleas I’m getting from many citizens across this country.”

Waters would go on to say that “eventually we’ve got to do something about him.” Meanwhile, Pelosi said the president hasn’t done anything yet to get himself impeached but if he breaks the law that will be on the table, all while explaining they weren’t there to talk about impeachment.
