When you get Dennis Rodman to congratulate you for a political move, you’ve totally made it.
The former NBA star and Celebrity Apprentice contestant is pleased with President Donald Trump‘s decision to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
“Well done, President Trump. You’re on the way to a historical meeting no U.S. president has ever done,” Rodman told AP Thursday.
Rodman is one of the scant few Americans to meet Kim Jong Un, and called him “a friend for life.” He gave the sports minister The Art of the Deal last year.
For his part, Trump is naturally touting this newest development in relations between the two countries as “great progress.” But his feelings towards Rodman and North Korea have been predictably wishy-washy, as evidenced by some tweets he sent out in years past; first, praising Rodman:

Second, bashing him and North Korea:
Crazy Dennis Rodman is saying I wanted to go to North Korea with him. Never discussed, no interest, last place on Earth I want to go to.
