Dennis Rodman Returning To North Korea In August To ‘Just Hang And Have Some Fun’ With Kim Jong-un
Chatter about the North Korean threat and its legitimacy has filled cable news segments and blog posts alike — but one man plans to head to the country this summer just to have a good time. Naturally, that man is Dennis Rodman, who’s already brought back a message from the country’s leader once before.
“We have no plans really, as far as what we’re going to do over there, but we’ll just hang and have some fun!” Rodman told Gossip Extra.
You may recall that Rodman deemed Kim a “great guy” after his trip to the country in February. “I don’t condone that. I hate the fact that he’s doing that,” Rodman said of the country’s human rights violations, but added, “We do the same things here.”
It appears Rodman still holds that sentiment toward his North Korean pal. “The Russians were way out there, and they were acting on their threats,” Rodman said. “[Kim Jong-un] just wants to be loved. He just wants to sit down and talk. That’s all.”
He further noted his admittedly far-fetched hope of sitting down with President Obama before his trip.
Something to look forward to?
