Dick Durbin Blasts Sessions For Dodging Questions: ‘It’s Hard to See How He Can Continue to Serve’
“I am not stonewalling!” Jeff Sessions exclaimed during his Tuesday testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Dick Durbin disagrees.
The Illinois Senator blasted his former colleague and the current Attorney General for what Durbin believed to be evasiveness on the part of Sessions. And he added that he’s uncertain about the Attorney General’s ability to remain in his post.

But Durbin’s statement is notable given both his longevity in the Senate (he’s currently serving his fourth term) and because it came after Tuesday’s hearing with Sessions.
Durbin, Harris, and Wyden may well be on the side of the public in their positions. A poll conducted in March by Quinnipiac found that 52 percents of respondents believed Sessions lied under oath, and 51 percent believed he should resign. Only 42 percent of respondents told Quinnipiac that Sessions did not need to resign.
