New documents show that the Secret Service requested a $60 million budget increase to protect President Donald Trump for the 2018 fiscal year.

We already knew that the Secret Service was considering getting a whole floor in Trump Tower and that taxpayers are footing the bill for security at the Fifth Avenue stronghold of Melania Trump in a major way.

As Salon points out, $26.8 million would be designated for protecting Trump Tower and Trump’s family as they travel the globally for their business deals. $33 million would be for travel costs for Trump, Mike Pence, and visiting heads of state.

That is causing some commotion online because of how many times the president has traveled to Florida and played golf in the two months since he took office. (It’s been 50% more than predecessor Barack Obama.)
