Donald Trump Argues It’s Impossible for the President to Have Conflicts of Interest

Trump shutter 1In his on-the-record chat with The New York Times, Donald Trump dismissed concerns about any potential conflicts between his duty as president and his business interests, saying that it was impossible for the president to even have conflicts of interest to begin with.

Trump continued, saying that the law doesn’t require him to set up a trust and that he could even run his business and the White House simultaneously, according to excerpts of the conversation live-tweeted by The TimesMaggie Haberman.
