There’s no upside to an Ebola outbreak in Africa that has claimed thousands of lives and may be creeping into the U.S., right? Wrong, says Donald Trump.
Summoning an optimism that, by comparison, makes Tony Robbins look like a real a**hole, Trump tweeted Saturday that the Ebola problem may actually yield something positive.
“Something very important, and indeed society changing, may come out of the Ebola epidemic that will be a very good thing,” He said. “NO SHAKING HANDS!”
Trump has a history of handshake aversion.
“One of the curses of American society is the simple act of shaking hands, and the more successful and famous one becomes the worse this terrible custom seems to get,” he wrote in his 1997 book The Art of the Comeback. “I happen to be a clean hands freak. I feel much better after I thoroughly wash my hands, which I do as much as possible.”
When the occasion calls for it, however, Trump has been known to shake a filthy hand or two.
