Dr. Nancy Snyderman and NBC Crew Out of Quarantine, Taking Time Off
The Ebola quarantine for NBC News’ Dr. Nancy Snyderman and her crew has been lifted. NBC News President Deborah Turness announced the news in an internal memo today.
Ashoka Mukpo, the NBC freelancer working with Snyderman’s team who contracted Ebola, was cleared yesterday. And today marks 21 days of the quarantine NBC placed the others in.
Turness says, “They remain healthy and symptom-free, which is a great relief to all.”
She did go on to say Snyderman and the others would be taking off some time now:
We have encouraged them – and they have agreed – to take some time off with their families and friends to help restore some normalcy to their lives. We very much look forward to their return next month.
There was some minor controversy when Snyderman reportedly violated the quarantine and had to apologize for it.
