Dropkick Murphys to Anti-Union Scott Walker: Stop Using Our Songs

On Saturday pro-union Irish punk band the Dropkick Murphys told Wisconsin Governor and organized labor bête noire Scott Walker to stop playing their songs at his rallies.

Walker reportedly took the stage at the Iowa Freedom Summit this weekend to “I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” the band’s collaboration with the Guthrie family made big by its featured inclusion in The Departed. The Bostonians were not pleased:

This is not the first time the Dropkick Murphys, who have covered multiple pro-union tunes, have gone after Walker for using their music. From 2012:
