#DumpKelloggs: Breitbart Goes After Cereal Maker After They Decide to Pull Ads From Site

breitbart_logoIn response to Kellogg’s announcing they would no longer run advertisements on conservative website Breitbart, the site decided to fight back and launched a petition calling for a boycott of the cereal giant’s products.

However, the #DumpKelloggs movement isn’t just relegated to a Twitter hashtag for Donald Trump supporters to embrace or a promise to not eat Froot Loops. The online publication has also dedicated article space to going to war with the corporation.

Senior editor-in-large Joel Pollak wrote a piece about Amnesty International accusing Kellogg’s of utilizing child labor, tying a palm oil producer to the company.

Kelloggs provided the following statement when announcing its decision not to run ads anymore on the site.

“We regularly work with our media-buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company. We recently reviewed the list of sites where our ads can be placed and decided to discontinue advertising on We are working to remove our ads from that site.”

At time of publication, #DumpKelloggs is in the top 10 of trending topics on Twitter.
